How it all started:
A few years ago Panerai released their old stock of Angelus 240 cal
movements and made them into the 203 watch. If you wanted to buy one you couldn't, sales were by invitation only with conditions.
Three private collectors decided they would have a special watch built, a new watch or a Modern Vintage similar to the 203. It was decided that the 203 should not be copied. It was agreed that the best Modern case is the 372 so work started using one of the best 372 cases. Two cases had the engraving removed one case kept the engraving, all cases had the WSO sapphire crystals added and the result was three rare Modern/Vintage watches each with the 8 day Angelus movement.
The Angelus 240 cal is a large movement and therefore its not easy to fit inside the 372 case, its like trying to put a wagon
engine in a car. However, with machine work and specially made parts it fits
really well. This watch is available as a DIY kit if you wish to built it
